Get In Its Face! (Playthrough of Tragic Events Expansion)

The call had come in - there was a fire on Main Street.  It wasn't big, yet.  The information received over the radio made it clear that it was spreading quickly and that there were people inside.  The fire truck there sent two firefighters into the blaze - Ed Kearney, a structural engineer, and Pete Templeton, a suppression specialist.

The report said that they suspected there were a few people at the back of the house, away from the entrances.  Ed took his axe with him off the truck and made a third entrance.

Peter entered from the side entrance, near some visible exterior wall damage from the fire, and began spraying water into the flames.

The building was rocked by an explosion in the room next to him.  The door behind him floor off it's hinges, just missing him.  Something had erupted amidst the flames and the fire quickly consumed the front entrance and living room.

Ed raced through his newly made doorway and made his way to the ensuite bathroom.  He thought he had heard calling from that direction, but it turned out to be a false alarm.

Then the spreading fire began to accelerate.

Ed knew that something needed to be done or they were going to lose this building and all of the people in it.  He took a big risk and got right in the fire's face.  He quickly extinguished a whole row of the flames to pave way for Pete to get to a survivor.

He grabbed the survivor and dragged him to the door as quickly as possible.

One of the members of the family in the house, coming to their senses after the original shock of seeing that their house was on fire, remembered that there was a fire extinguisher near them.  They quickly found it and put it to use.

Ed made good use of his original wall-hole and dragged another survivor out of it.

While outside, his fire chief ran over to him and handed over a newly designed weapon in the fight against fire: a fire grenade.

Being a suppression specialist, Pete had spent most of his time in the worst burning parts of the building, trying to keep the fire under control while Ed got people out.  He came across an elderly gentlemen with an oxygen mask and couldn't wait for backup, quickly dragging the man to the back "exit".

In the front of the house, a section of the wall that we originally thought was damaged turned out to be more sturdily build than we realized.

Ed was getting tired and so he called for backup.  There were quite a few people in the building still so he called for a rescue specialist - Anita Hodges.

Anita made sure to bring the new fire grenade with her and used it to clear a path through the front entryway.

With the flames cleared, Anita discovered three survivors huddled together.

Meanwhile, Pete had hurried another survivor out the back "exit".

Pete fought his way back through the flames and smoke to help Anita get the last survivors out.

Together, they got the last three survivors out - everyone was safe!  Another successful fire fought for our everyday heroes!
