This is an Abomination! (Playthrough of Zombicide: Black Plague)

Ten heroes.  Just ten warriors brought together to defeat a common enemy.  A variety of motivations and backgrounds follow each of these warriors as they entered the deserted town with a single purpose: find the abomination and destroy it.
The quest began with a bang as doors to supposedly empty buildings were hacked down.  Within were monsters right out of every child's nightmares.  Theo, the quickest of the warriors, runs off alone from the group to check another building.  Fortunately, he finds nothing.

The remaining nine were not so lucky - an abomination burst through the door frame and attacked.  It was not the one they were looking for, but it still had to be dealt with.

Unequipped to deal with such a foe yet, eight of the companions dodge and dive their way past the creature and into the building.  Clovis stands against the beast, but he has a trick up his sleeve - a spell!  Against the creature's will and strength, he pushes it away from him and his company.

Samson, the tough dwarf not used to running from danger, quickly scrounges around the empty rooms looking for something, anything, to drive away the beast.  He comes back a moment with a vial of dragon bile and a lit torch.  He laughs in the face of the bellowing abomination as he douses it in the pile and lights him on fire with the torch.  The abomination rolls around on the ground, desperately trying to put out the flames, and crushes a running zombie beneath it.  After a minute of struggling, it lays still.

After Samson's discovery and subsequent destruction of the zombie horror, all of our heroes raced back into the room to try and find something else to help them in the coming battle.  The zombie hordes began to gather on the fringes of town and slowly search for our fellowship.

Armed with scrolls of powerful magic, Karl focused his energy and unleashed it on a trio of terrifying zombie wolves.  His attack was so powerful that they were completely obliterated where they stood - there was not even a hair left to prove they were ever there.

Not to be outdone, Baldric, the company's other wizard, launched an attack against the evil black sorcerer leading the zombies; the necromancer.  He was focused, angry, and in a rivalry with Karl and so his magic was always particularly powerful.  The necromancer didn't know what hit him.

Before he died though, the necromancer quickly cast a spell of his own that brought two terrifying abominations against our heroes.  What were they going to do?

Fortunately for them, Clovis remembered where Samson had found the ingredients for dragon fire.  Bearing a torch and a vial of dragon bile, he flung them towards the monstrous creatures and they were instantly engulfed in flames.

With those creatures out of the way and our company of heroes armed with stronger weapons and spells, they pressed out of the building and towards the growing number of zombies.  They split into two groups.  Samson, flaming great sword in hand, led one group to the south.  With a mighty swing of his monstrous sword, he severed the heads of five zombies.

As Samson and his group turned the corner, they ran smack into another wolfbomination.  Well, this time there luck had run out because they had no weapons capable of damaging this monstrosity.  They had only one option - they turned tail and ran the other way.

Meanwhile, the six other heroes were attempting to smash into the room where they believed the target abomination to be hiding.  As they smashed through the door, a swarm of zombie runners and walkers forced their way out and surrounded them.  Things were not looking good.

Also meanwhile, a group of fatties had rounded up some stray zombie wolves and walkers and began herding them towards the thick of battle.

Along the way, an abomination joined the ranks of the zombie wolves.  Fortunately, Silas, the quick-footed elf, slipped back into the first building they had entered and gathered up the supplies for another dragon fire.  Boom!

But Silas wasn't done there.  Leaning against the wall in a back room gathering dust he discovered a magical looking longbow.  He took it with him and put it to use immediately.  Firing an arrow into the throng of approaching zombies, he was surprised when it struck the ground and burst into flames.

But then the wolfbomination caught up with them.  Silas fired arrow after arrow from his magical bow but for some reason he could not hit the beast.  The creature roared, standing on its hind legs, and charged.

Clovis to the rescue again.  He had found a blood that burned with the fire of dragons and he threw it at the wolfbomination.  More barbecued wolf.

The zombie runners made an extra push.  Our heroes were beginning to tire and several were caught unaware by the fierce undead creatures.  Some of their attacks were blocked by armor and shields, but many struck home and left deep wounds.

After finally defeating that swarm, the company had some breathing space.  They had discovered a secret door but needed to find the key.  So they moved off to another locked building to see what they could find.

Upon opening the door, they were attacked by the necromancer.  He must not have expected the because he was all alone and was quickly dispatched.

After defeating the few zombies that remained in the building, they tore the place apart.  They found the key and raced back to the trap door.

Silas and Karl put the key in the door and flung it open.  There, inside the underground room was the abomination they had been searching for.

Before the beast had a change to react and attack, Silas fired an arrow from his magical bow and the quest became a success in an explosion of fire and giant undead body parts.

They had succeeded in this one quest, but what would they have to do next to put this war to and end once and for all?
