Growing up in an aristocrat's house, Weset's youth was given over to indulgence and excess. When he reached adulthood, however, and reflected back on his life and the priorities of his harsh father, he realized something was missing. He gave his life to religion and joined the Vorin priests, searching for a higher meaning. His father urged him back into the family business by offering him a position of greater authority and control. Reluctantly, he agreed, finding less fulfillment than expected in being an ardent.

He proved to be quite savvy with his father's business and quickly earned his way to becoming his right hand man by securing some lucrative trade deals. Disaster struck when it came to light that the deal was made with some unsavoury characters. Weset had no idea, although he suspected that his father did. When the authorities came to the house, Weset was arrested, having been set up by his father. He was dragged away screaming, while his father played the part of the innocent, ignorant parent.

While incarcerated, Weset put all his energy into physical training. He had watched his father's guards enough to improve upon his form and increase his strength. A few other prisoners, seeing him find this outlet, asked to join. They trained under the scrutinous eye of the guards.

While he had discovered this distraction for his body, Weset also developed a thirst for knowledge to distract his mind. He became observant of everything around him, knowing which guards were more lenient and which ones to stay away from. One day, he noticed a guard sabotaging the equipment of an officer's saddle. Not that he cared for the officer, but he knew this could be his way out. He reported the sabotage and when the ruined saddle was confirmed, he guilt guard was executed and Weset earned his freedom.

Even though he had his freedom, he didn't have much direction. He stayed near the prison and began spending time with a group of guards. They were a less than savoury sort and he ended up an addict, barely surviving close to the barracks, doing enough odd jobs to make money for the next high. He lived this way for almost six months until something woke him out of his stupor: a murder. The high ranking officer whose life he had saved less than a year earlier was killed. His colleagues came to Weset, remembering his observation skills, and asked him to help. They promised him a rich reward if he could solve the case.

Weset DID solve the case, but when he confronted the perpetrators, they ran. It was in chasing them down and doing so for a noble reason, that he discovered his latent powers: he was a Knight Radiant, an Edgedancer! He quickly caught them and brought them justice, taking his reward and using it to travel to the Kharbranth in the search for the truth of who he was.

With his newfound understanding of who he is and what his power is, he ends up in The Shattered Plains. He senses more Knights Radiant are there and wants to try and find someone he can talk to about this. As he edge dances he find himself in the middle of a battle for the gemheart within a chasmfiend. Neither equipped nor trained to defeat the beast, he instead zips through the battle field and takes the heart from a defeated beast before either the Alethi or Parshendi could get their hands on it. He brought the gemheart to Roion, highprince of Alethkar, and offered it in exchange for justice.

With the backing of Roion, Weset returned to his father's estate and brought him to justice. He had the resources he needed to investigate his father and have him put away for years. Not needing revenge but simply right to be done, Weset was pleased with himself. After this, he joined forces with the other Knights Radiant that had arisen in the land to do battle with Odium.

With our combined powers, we were able to defeat Odium and push his influence off of Roshar.

Or did we?
